After a couple weeks off ... here we go!

1. What was your favorite Halloween costume as a kid?
I dressed up as a lot of different characters when I was a kid. From Donald Duck, to Belle, to Cinderella, to Emma aka Baby Spice. (My bff was Posh spice ... we didn't have many friends who liked the Spice Girls to be all 5 together) But my all time favorite was being Kimberly the Pink Ranger! (From the awesome original series) I even had the gloves that made the swoosh sound and theme song! (And not to mention my awesome Aunt who made my costume for me!)

2. If you could go back to your childhood and dress up as something, what would it be?
I'm not too sure. All the costumes for the kiddo's now-a-days are super cute and adorable. I'm quite jealous they have Ninja Turtle outfits for girls. I would totally be Donatello!

3. What was your favorite Halloween costume as an adult?
I don't really dress up as an adult. I guess I'll go with "Malice in Wonderland" or "Evil Alice" as I had to call her since no one got the reference.

4. What is your favorite Halloween candy?
I liked the snack packs for the Sweettarts. 2 pieces was plenty! But Kit-Kats and Milky Ways are always my favorite candies

5. What is your favorite Halloween memory?
I suppose just being out with my friends. Either at a party or trick-or-treating.

6. What is your favorite scary movie?
I love all scary movies! I haven't seen the most recent ones yet, but I plan to sometime in the future. The Nightmare on Elm Street movies, Amityville Horror and House on Haunted Hill were my all-time favorites (and they still are)

Have a fun, safe and spooky Halloween!

Review: Dr Scholl's Active Series Insoles (Women's)

Previously revealed here.

As soon as I got these in the mail, I couldn't wait to get them into my shoes! I haven't been as active as I would like to be because of the pain I get while doing so. Since wearing the insoles, I have felt so much relief I wish I could tape them to my feet to wear them all day! (Especially while at work!)

Since we participate in Casual Friday at my job, I'm able to wear jeans and sneakers. I have to go up and down the steps (1 floor's worth) to get to the other department and I'm on my feet a lot to get to the copier, the printer or to get a file from the file room. Being able to wear my sneakers with these insoles, I have felt a complete difference in my joints and have experienced less pain during the day.

Having pain in my knees mainly because of my tendonitis (which causes me to limp from time to time causing pain in my shins and heels) these insoles are great for anyone dealing with any pain, active or wanting to be active.

Breakdown:
Pros -
* Helps reduce the pain in everyday movements
* Feels like you're walking on air (or running on air)
* Easier on joints while moving
* Very comfy and easy to wear for prolonged periods of time

Cons -
* Range of insoles could cause problems for those with the smaller end of the shoe range (I wear an 7.5 and the 5.5-8 and they were a little tight to fit in my shoes at first
* They are $20 in the stores. A little pricey compared to some of the other insoles they offer/sell, but not too bad.

I would buy a second pair, these are just that comfortable! Thank you influenster for allowing me to try these out! I absolutely love them!

Review: Colgate Slimsoft Toothbrush

As revealed in my post here; I think I had enough uses to really give this a good review!

First Day:
* It felt like I wasn't even using a toothbrush! The bristles were so soft and fluffy, it was a strange surprise to feel against my gums and teeth. I was shocked (and pleased) with how clean my teeth felt afterwards.

* The toothpaste had a good taste, lightly minty but I felt like it foamed up nicely and gave me an overall clean feeling.

*The mouthwash is a little too strong for my liking. I'm not much on peppermint, but like a fresh mint ... something a little lighter on the flavor.

After a week:
* I got used to the feel of the bristles. I always felt like my teeth were clean and plaque free after each brushing.
* My gums didn't bleed which is a plus for me. I have sensitive gums, so one wrong stroke would make things uncomfortable for me.
* I could tell that I had less plaque on my teeth after a week of using (it really gives you a nice clean feeling) and makes my mouth look and feel healthier/cleaner.

I gave this toothbrush a 4/5 stars on colgate.com as I really enjoyed this toothbrush, but it was just so different to get used to with the non-brush like feel to it. But I really do enjoy using this toothbrush and plan to buy another one when it's time to get a new one (Every 3 months to keep a healthy smile!)

To break it down:
Pros -
* The thin bristles give a deeper clean
* The softness of the bristles clean teeth and gums without hurting

Cons -
* The feel of the bristles could be a turn-off for most people (or take a while to get used to)

Thank you influenster for giving me the chance to try out this product!

Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes 2013

This year was our 4th year walking with the American Diabetes Association in their Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes event. With the help of my friends, family and co-workers, I was able to raise over $400 towards the goal of our group.

We all had matching shirts this year; so we actually looked like a group. The Baltimore Moo's started out as a group of 4 girls who grew up together. Add in my Step-Father as the main behind the diabetes and why we walk and raise money to help support the cause. I hope we're able to raise even more next year!
